On Sunday, I learned from a very knowledgable, well-respected Connecticut
birder-extraordinaire that the male Red-Winged Black Birds arrive here first
and get on their territories to attract the females.
Sure enough - this morning for the first time, I saw 2 female Red-Winged
BB's on the ground at my feeder. Up until now, I've seen only males. So, the
ladies are now here, ready to be wooed!
2 Fox Sparrows continue as well.
