  4/16 West Haven, beach between St. John's and Bradley Point - GLAUCOUS GULL (3rd year, adult-like except for dark smudge on bill); Savin Rock - 2 male, one female N. Pintail
  Madison, Hammonasset - LEAST TERN (record early arrival date by 9 days); 5 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS (rather early; record is April 7); SHORT-EARED OWL; 10 Glossy Ibis, 20 Black-bellied Plovers; 15 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs; 40 Dunlin, 2 Sanderling; 40 Ruddy Turnstones (most shorebirds a long, wet walk to closed off east end of park)
  Bridgeport, Seaside Park - adult LAUGHING GULL, 1st-year ICELAND GULL
  Greater Yellowlegs numerous in flooded spots from Bridgeport to Madison; Brant also widespread; Great and Snowy Egrets more numerous
