This survey shows the before (14) and after (17) the north easter storm.
The Herring Gulls wer flocking off shore with Bonaparte,s Gulls, Scaup
and Brant. Also, the Iceland Gull. The Southport Golf Course was
flooded and had most of the Ring-billed Gulls, Ducks and Shorebirds.
One of the Snowy Egrets was seen flying towards shore from the middle
of the sound. The Black headed Gull was was seen at Southport Beach
with about 40 Bonaparte’s Gulls.

A new moon today, there was some gull flocking off Southport Beach. It
appears that this year the Gull Gathering was present but less
synchronized. I plan on writing a revirew of all the reports soon to
see what we can learn for next year.
