A dreary day but productive birding at HMSP. 

~ 2 imm. NORTHERN GANNETS seen from the lookout over the jetty (50-100 yards offshore)
~ 26 SURF SCOTER (including an injured female close to shore at the end of Meig's Point)
~ 1 lonely BRANT (juvenile) 
~ 1 COMMON REDPOLL mixed in with a flock of goldfinch
~ 8 COMMON LOON
~ 36 RED-THROATED LOON (including a couple juveniles  with gray necks)
~ 1 (Western) PALM WARBLER (in pines at the East Beach Parking Lot)
~ 2-3 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH
~ HORNED LARK 50+
~ MONK PARAKEETS (heard)
