Jayne:
Your post encourages me to keep my feeders up in East Hartford. Could you or someone give advice concerning how to do that in these current freezing conditions? I have been taking the feeders in each evening and putting them back up in the morning, but fear I might miss really early morning hummers this way. How do folks feed hummers this time of year? Does freezing compromise the sugar water solution in any way? Thanks for your help.

Hi Everyone,
I just got another hummingbird call, this bird is in Glastonbury. I am going to try and get there tomorrow. Will keep you posted. According to the host it has been there all summer and is green. :))))
