Sta. 43:
8 Green-winged Teal
3 Gadwalls (1 adult male, 1 adult female and 1 imm. male)
8 American Pipits
1 Mute Swan
~150 Am. Crows
2 Merlins
2 Red-tailed Hawks
1 Northern Harrier
2 PEREGRINE FALCONS - 1 appeared leisurely circling the marsh and was
suddenly joined by a 2nd, slightly smaller 1. The 2 circled for a minute or so,
seemingly sparring, and including a great close range fly-by of the original
bird. Then the 1st 1 broke away and headed south, and the 2nd dove down
behind the tree-line - apparently to the perch from which he came. Great show.

Batterson Park Pond:
1 female Bufflehead
~ 100 Common Mergansers - probably more.
~ 50 Ruddy Ducks
~ 40 American Coots
~ 50 Canada Geese

Don Morgan
