13 hawks including a moderately streaked (vs heavily
streaked) perched juv. Northern Goshawk. Also 4 Sharpies,
2 Coops, 5 Red-Tails, 1 Unid. Buteo.

Also 1 adult male Taiga Merlin. A month ago, that would have
simply been "ML 1". There was time to look, today.

Unlikely that an afternoon Buteo flight materialized. However,
'can't tell if nobody's there.

Fall migrants were streaming through, this late in the morning,
this late in the season. From the Hawk watch, 180 Cedar Waxwing,
120 C Grackle (flying W and then turning and heading NE!?),
22 RW Blackbird, 280 Am Goldfinch, 5 Purple Finch, 86 unid.
Finch, 2 Am Pipit. Also in the Park 59 Brant, 22 Am Wigeon,
4 RB Nuthatch. Herring Gulls also continue to head West,
perhaps 80 or so.

What was missed at dawn? 'Can't tell if nobody's there.
