  The links provided by others to Dave Sibley's blog shoud provide ample and excellent ID info.
   
  Regarding this species' status in Conn., Zeranski & Baptist list 2 specimen records and 10 uncorroborated sight reports that they don't list individually because of ID difficulty. Since the 1990 publication of their book there are no fully documented reports and very few sight reports.
   
  Given the apparent magnitude of the C. Redpoll flight now under way (and the number of excellent digital photographers now doing birds in the state), this winter looks like prime time to fill that documentation gap.
