The are precious few examples in the history of Connecticut birding where a
rarity the level of this Western Flycatcher has stayed as long as this one
has or given the phenomenal close views this bird has allowed. Ya I now it
would be wonderful to know conclusively which species it is, but we kinda
know which one it likely is, Pacific-Slope Flycatcher. So count your
blessings, it is possible this one will never grace our backyard again
during in our lifetimes (though some have better odds on that than others!)
If you haven't seen it, maybe you should think about going. Thanks again
Roy.
