Today at 3:20 on Saw Mill Hill rd, North Torrington, had a single female RED CROSSBILL She was eating from cones at top of a stand of Black Spruces around an abandoned building. This rd has many spruces along its length, I checked all, and none other then her. Most spruce trees were bare or sparce with cones - several were loaded. Paul Carrier
