[CT Birds] Pine Grosbeaks

 From Patrick & Tricia Comins:
12/09 - Goshen, East Street North-- 17 COMMON REDPOLLS, eating birch catkins on the east side of the road near Hageman Shean Road. A couple of adult males in the group.

Watertown, Route 63, several BLACK VULTURES, flying low over business district near Dunkin Donuts and Pizza Hut.

A belated report and outside CT, but in Turner's Falls Mass last Thursday with Dori, there were at least 5 Iceland Gulls in a group of only ~500 gulls above the dam. Maybe a sign of lots to come for us this winter? I was really hoping for a Glaucous since I haven't seen one this millennium.

Patrick Comins, Meriden, CT
