[CT Birds] crossbills

Could someone supply specific directions as to where the  crossbills are 
being seen in Hammonassett?  When one drives in through  the main entrance,  does 
one turn right, left?  are there signs for  West beach?
I have been there several times, and I know Meig's Point and  nature center, 
but I am not familiar with the portion called the West  Beach.
