[CT Birds] Bantam Lake

Bantam Lake is definitely worth checking out.  Most of the lakes in  the area 
have frozen over and there's now a good concentration of waterfowl in  North 
Cove with excellent views from the Folly Point observation tower.   Over the 
weekend, Bruce and I saw two Canvasbacks mixed in with large numbers of  the 
usual suspects.  This time of year, you never know what might show  up.
 
At the river outlet, visible from the bridge on North Shore Road, there  were 
four Gadwalls plus a female Northern Pintail.
