Today in Canaan on rt 44 in field under Canaan MT were 12 BLACK 
VULTURES. This seems a bit late for these birds inland, and wonder if 
they plan to stay the winter?
Also along the Housatonic river in Falls Village an Adult GOSHAWK 
chasing Mallards feeding from a corn field. Many Common Mergansers along 
the river also. No winter finches seen today in this area by us except 5 
Pine Siskins in Canaan center.
