>From Chris Elphick and Margaret Rubega:
12/14, UConn, Storrs: 4 PINE GROSBEAKS in fruit trees between Dodd Center and Colchester Hall.

This morning (10ish) there were 4 pine grosbeaks feeding in the same fruit tree where Steve Morytko had some yesterday. They are in the small parking lot that lies between the Dodd Center (to the east), Colchester Hall (west) and the Whetton Graduate Center (north). This complex is immediately south of the main library in the center of campus. The birds were in the first berry-loaded tree in the SW corner of the Lot (the lot is small, so they shouldn't be hard to find).

There are lots of waxwings on campus, so check them carefully for Bohemians ... it's only a matter of time! And if you're in the area snow buntings, lapland longspur and American pipits were all seen on the top of Horsebarn Hill earlier in the week.

If anyone comes to see them and finds anything even moderately unusual on campus or nearby, please let me know as the Storrs Christmas Count is tomorrow (Saturday).

Thanks, Chris
