[CT Birds] First Redpoll

12/16  REDPOLL  Somers feeder.

While out snowshoeing to pack my paths to the feeders yesterday morn when 
the large numbers of finches,titmice, and chickadees had taken a break, one 
lone bird remained on one feeder and it was a COMMON REDPOLL which is a life 
bird for me!
I was so excited I kept saying over and over to the bird "you are a redpoll" 
and he just looked at me (I was only 10 feet away from him) as if to say "so 
what" and then flew off on his way.
