[CT Birds] yesterday's backyard birds - Branford

12/16 - I didn't get a chance to submit this yesterday, so my apologies.

 

Branford back yard notables - the single common redpoll returned feeding on
Niger seed amid some 30+ goldfinches, numerous chickadees, and house finch.
I also recorded my first Rusty Blackbird ground feeding on fallen seed
(non-breeding male I believe - photo available), 1 male cowbird, 1 Northern
Goshawk (thank you, Scott and Bob, for your input on the ID), and another
first - an American Tree Sparrow ground feeding amid Song Sparrows, White
throats and Juncos.
