[CT Birds] Moodus feeder birds - not just Juncos anymore

Hi all -

Yesterday, it seemed like every Junco in Middlesex county was in my yard, with just a smattering of White-throats, goldfinch, House Finch, etc. At times there were over 50 juncos - alas, none out of the ordinary.

Today, the frozen tundra has a little more variety, including my first Tree Sparrow in the yard for the season. The Red-breasted Nuthatch continues, but the siskins and Purple Finch of last week seem to have departed. The yard seems to have been "discovered" by a hawk or two - yesterday a male Sharp-shinned Hawk, today a loud alarm cry by the Blue Jays and everybody scattered for a good 20 minutes - I didn't see the instigator. The Blue Jays are constantly doing their Red-shouldered Hawk imitation, just to annoy me.
