This might not have been as exotic as Brian Kleinman's terns, but last summer on a visit to California I went to Malibu Lagoon where I saw a Royal Tern, an Elegant Tern, and a Common Tern perched in a row side by side and in that order. Great for comparisons--at least for someone from the Northeast. Jim Bair
