Subject: [CT Birds] Barrow's Goldeneye
12/22 10:00am Hamden, Edmund St.
(1) Barrow's Goldeneye seen at close range (50 yds) in tidal bay of the Quinnipiac River. Observed for 1 minute before it took flight.
Edmund St. is 1 block N of the DMV on State St. in Hamden. Being a tidal bay there is no ice. Also seen Canada Goose (12), Hooded Merg (8), Canvasback, male (1), Black Duck (7),
Gr Black-backed Gull (1).
