Today, Sun, 23rd, Just before the rain - had the following:
Bakerville, New Hartford -7;30 - Maple hollow rd, at feeder - 1
Ring-neck Pheasant - at swamp, 1 Ad Goshawk harassing Bluebirds,-(No
Shrike). Stub Hollow Rd, 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 1 Great-horned
Owl - calling.
8;10 - Barkhamsted, Seville dam looking north in water - 1 Im Bald Eagle
flying with duck Sp? in talons.
6 Common Merg, 2 Hooded Meg, 2 Blk Duck, 1 Common Loon - out in fog,
1 Large flock of 75+ Cedar Waxwing - eating from Cedars by rd - no BoWs.
just over dam, to the south in valley below, 4 EVENING GROSBEAK in berry
bush below. Flew into Cedars by rd. Then flew off with waxwings to the
south.
Rt 181 north - by cemetery on rt in trees - 3 PINE GROSBEAK -
Also, Sat 22nd, 4:10, Deer Hill rd, Winsted, pair PINE GROSBEAK in tall
tree in field, resting?
