Hi Folks
Another sample at Southport Shore (#124)

The sky was overcast, off shore the water was rough with little about
execpt for a few Loons and one flock of Red-breasted Mergansers. The
one Surf Scoter was gone. Last winter a single female Common
Goldeneye remained in Southport Harbor into May. Today the only
Common Goldeneye was a female in Southport Harbor! All the Hooded
Mergansers were in the pond at the Southport Country Club. The 11
Ruddy Ducks wer in the middle of the harbor. Ruddies usually find a
spot and hang out there for the winter. It will be interesting to see
if these do the same. Last year there were 6 Snow Geese. With regards
to the gulls, again no im. Ring-billed Gulls, and Im. Herring Gulls
made up 7.3% of the birds
