Survey #125
The Sky was overcast with a wind out of the north. Off shore the
water was calm with little about execpt for a few Loons and one
flock of Red-breasted Mergansers. The Bonaparte’s Gulls were seen
hunting off shoe. Finally, 3 White-winged Scoter showed up. In
Southport Harbor the 11 Ruddy Duck remain. Southport Country Club has
a low spot that floods regularly, and that is where I get most of the
shorebirds. It was flooded today and contained the Mallards and
Gadwalls. The pond had 2 Common Mergansers again. With regards to
the gulls, again no im. Ring-billed Gulls, and Im. Herring Gulls made
up 3.6% of the birds. At low tide more birds are scattered about
feeding,
