In the strict biological sense, yes, cows are predators of grass (although not nearly as interesting to watch as sharpies after those pesky house sparrows!    :)

Interesting question about the cow and grass  but somehow I don't think a cow 
is "preying" on grass.  I don't know, look  at the definition below and let 
me know what you think.  Or maybe I  just took this a little too seriously?!!
