[CT Birds] Mole vs. Gull

Holy Cow!  What an interaction between the mole and  GBBG...must have taken 
some good forensics to figure that one out.  
When reading all these stories of predation and the natural  order of things, 
I really have to take a step back from my mentality of feeling  sorry for the 
victim and realize the science of prey vs. predator.  
I had felt awful last year, watching the red tailed hawk which  occasionally 
frequents my yard for food, when it grabbed one of the gray  squirrels.  The 
squirrel's tail was whipping around and it was squirming in  the hawk's talons 
as I watched the hawk grab the squirrel and leave with a good  meal.  I felt 
badly for the squirrel but I also had to realize  that the hawk was hungry and 
had a successful  hunt.
