[CT Birds] Blue jay numbers up

Yes, I have more blue jays at my feeders too, but I also have more of everything else. It's cold, and don't we have more snow cover, and earlier, than we had last year? I have more woodpeckers, nuthatches, titmice, WT sparrows, even more chickadees. Plus new birds at the feeder this year, including goldfinches, siskins, RB nuthatches. The feeders just seem busier than usual.
I do like the bluejays - they are smart and interesting to watch. It's fun to watch the little birds fool them - a jay will bluster up to the suet, flashing its wings to frighten away the titmice and 'dees - but while the jay is still blustering, the little birds will sneak 'round the tree to get at the suet on the other side, behind the jay's back. Ha!
I have 3 suet feeders, and they are all busy all day long these days, with birds literally waiting in line for a bite.
