145 species have been reported in CT during the first week of January. Well
done Paul on the Bohemians. A number of species that are definitely in CT or
possibly in CT have yet to be reported (Or I missed the report). They
include: Snow Goose, Wood Duck, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler, King
Eider, Black Scoter, Ruffed Grouse, Northern Gannet, Black-crowned
Night-Heron, Golden Eagle, Clapper Rail, Razorbill, Barn Owl, Palm Warbler,
Field Sparrow, and Sharp-tailed Sparrows. If you have gotten a Barn Owl in
2008 and understandably you don't want to report it to the list because of
the sensitivity of the location, you can report it to me directly. It will
be included in the list without publishing the location. This is true for
any species in a sensitive location, such as the Rufous Hummingbird that is
listed below. Thanks to Tom Sayers for the valuable advice and thanks to
everyone who has contributed.
Dave
