Today at 3:55 PM, on Milo Rd in West Hartland, saw 4, possibly more PINE
GROSBEAKS
and a single WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL in with them.
They were high in a grove of White Spruce with many loaded with cones,
but were eating the spruce buds instead, even the lone Crossbill was
eating the buds.
This is a dense grove, and I'm sure many more birds were feeding there
but not visible.
