Survey # 128
The Sky was clear with no wind. The water was calm off shore and flat
inshore. Sunken Island was exposed with waves breaking over the
sandbar. There was a hunter in a boat off the south end.
Off shore Long-tailed Ducks continued to move about in small groups.
Near to shore there were plenty of Red-throated Loons and Horned
Grebes. This time there were several large flocks of Common
Goldeneyes. The shorebirds were either on Sunken Island or flying by.
The Gulls continue to be skiddish. One, Immature Ring-biiled Gull
made it 0.5% immatures. Im. Herring Gulls made up 8.9% of the birds.
