1/13 - Kent, Kent Falls State Park, Rt. 7 just north of Kent -- PINE
GROSBEAKS continue in the crabapple trees at the north end of the parking
lot. Seen around 11:30 A.M. At least 10 females and 3 males. They alternated
feeding and flying off for about an hour, sharing the trees with about half
a dozen Robins and a similar number of Ceder Waxwings (yes, we looked; no,
no Bohemians among them). Still plenty of fruit left in those trees so maybe
they'll stick around.
Also, New Milford, about 219 Kent Rd (Rt. 7), adult Bald Eagle over Rt 7 and
the Housatonic River about 11 AM.
