With to much time on my hands, and so many Redpolls to go through each day at my feeder looking for the frosty one, and experiencing their no fear of me, as well as everything else, when I approach, I came up with a question:

So what are the Redpolls predators, especially avian, they experience up north in their breeding terretory?

Looking up ranges of bird eating hawks, the obvious Sharpshinned seems to only occupy the extreme lower portion of their range. The Coop is absent, and the larger raptors most likely do not prey on these small birds. The Boreal Owl is part of their range, and might prey on them at night, but seems unlikely they are a main avian predator. So the question I ask is:

What is the primary predator of the Common Redpoll in its breeding territory? Any answers out there?
