The Western Tanager was intermittently present all morning, but  was not seen 
in the afternoon as far as I know.   The only place it  appeared was in the 
dense grove of young cedars southwest of the Mohegan I  restrooms in front of 
the small pond.  I believe it was sheltering from the  strong and cold north 
wind, and eating cedar and possibly bittersweet  berries.
No one was able to locate the Orange-crowned Warbler during the  morning, as 
it did not appear either near the Tanager nor with the flock of  Juncos moving 
around the area.   I had pretty much given up on it when  someone came over 
to Marty Moore and I and said he had seen it in the grove of  trees to the 
west? of the M-I restrooms. (Towards the campground parking  area).  When I went 
to investigate it was indeed there, mostly on the  ground under the cedars with 
1 or 2 Pine Warblers and a single Robin.  It  stayed for another half hour or 
so and provided reasonably good (though  distant)looks in the shade of the 
cedars, just across the path from the  restrooms.
