The Western Tanager was seen at the Hammonasset Mohegan 1 campground for about 5 minutes. It then flew to the line of cedars described in yesterday's post, where it was flushed by a Northern Harrier. Time was about 11:30 am. No other sightings from 7:45 am till then.

The Orange-crowned Warbler was seen a few yards away at Tunxis and a bit further on, at the Hammo entrance road median. This morning was very quiet but the usuals (2+Fox Sparrows, 2+ Pine Warblers, partial albino Robin) were present.

A long vigil, but worth it. Back to work.
