Hi All,

?

So I know that all of you have been waiting with baited
breath for the final results of the count. Congratulations to everyone who took
part. I hope you all had a fun time getting out and tracking down the birds
which is really the object of the exercise. I thought I'd let you know I held off on the temptation to have a little joke and put myself at the top of the pile with
one more species than this years winner (I thought it people might not see the funny side). Anyway I have hope the formatting doesn't
turn out to weirdly - I have gone for the dense ranking strategy as I am too
stupid to work out anything else this evening. Anyway here are the results in order....drum roll
please.........

?

1. Mardi Dickinson 158

2. Meredith Sampson 140

3. Annette Cunniffe 137

4. Greg Hanisek 134

5. Neil Currie 130

6. Frank Mantlik 129

7. Jim Dugan 127

8. Bill Asteriades 126

9. Randy Domina 122

10. Bill Banks 120

10. Penny Solum 120

11. Paul Cashman 112

12. Jay Kaplan 111

12. Denise Jernigan 111

13. Carl Ekroth? 109

14. Kris Johnson 108

15. Adrian Nichols 106

16. Betty Zuraw? 105

16. Beth Nichols 105

17. John Marshall 104

Stamford)

20. Angela Dimmitt 99

21. Olive Wysocki 97

22. Jan Collins 91

22 Joan Becker 91

23. Richard Becker 90

So there you go until next year, well done to all. It takes a lot of hard work I remember from previous years. Looks like the boys will have to try harder next year with not one in the top 3!!! Out of interest Dave Provencher's January list of 167 species missed off 4 species seen by at least one of our participants (it is a 'competition' after all) so the total list for January should be 171 species seen in CT during the month.. Additional species were: Golden Eagle, Lesser Yellowlegs, Western Sandpiper and House Wren.

Regards,

Luke Tiller
