[CT Birds] Question about eBird

I've started entering my sightings on eBird and rather than set up a location for a place that I wouldn't be going to regularly, I just chose "Connecticut" which they already have available as a choice.
So on Feb. 3rd, I went to Steve Morytko's place in Ashford to view the Red-headed Woodpecker. Rather than set up a location, I just entered the birds I saw there under the location named "Connecticut." I noticed that on my Google homepage (where I have the eBird Notable Sightings) there was a Red-headed Woodpecker in New Haven County. When I clicked on the little plus sign to see who had seen it in New Haven County, imagine my surprise when I saw my name there!
I'm guessing this is a bug in the eBird program. Or did I do something wrong?
Thanks,
Pam
