Survey # 132
The sky was overcast and the water flat at full high tide.
Off shore the Loons again were scattered about and included Horned
Grebes. Black Ducks formed a couple of rafts, while Long-tailed Ducks
continued to form courting clusters and a lot of flying back and
forth. The one White-winged Scoter from the past remained, plus there
were 3 fly bys. The Goldeneye were off shore instead of being at the
mouth of the harbor. The ponds in the golf course were unfrozen and
contained most of the puddle ducks, mergansers, and geese. The gulls
were relatively scares and the ones about were roosting. , there were
4 Immature Herring Gulls making up 5.1% of the birds, respectively.
