Hi Folks
I have been thinking about gulls again. I started taking an interest
in them because it seemed like no one else was and I live along the
shore. If I was inland, I would probably look at flycatchers or
warblers or something. I started by collecting data and seeing where
it take me. Lately I have been looking at data I had going back to
1999. Then it occurred to me that gulls nest on islands in the
arctic. These birds should be affected early by global warming. By
collecting data now we might be abel to identify any changes that may
occur in the future. What I would like to do is figure out how many
white-winged and Lesser Black-backed Gulls have occur each year and
their age distribution. This information my be useful in the future.
What I would like from you folks is that when you see one of these
species you try to age it or at least say adult or immature.
Thank you for your help
