[CT Birds] Observations/arrival times from 1880-1881

Yes, that subject line is correct. Not too long ago I was doing research in
Fairfield University's many databases, and I came across a great bit of
Connecticut birding from the 19th century in *The American Naturalist*. H.D.
Minot wrote a few pages about the migration of birds out of and into
Litchfield from October 1880 to May 1881. The observations are great, and
somewhat differ from what we see in our day. Some of the old names of the
birds are fantastic as well.

I copied the pages from the database, and I have put links to them below.

a bit small - and don't miss the list of arrival dates on the first page.
