Hi All,
I read with amused envy Gregs report of a Mute Swan from his back yard the other day and am happy to report that yesterday I added a similar yard bogey bird to my list - a wonderful adult Great Black-backed Gull in flight. I think my neighbors would have been quite perplexed as I did my new yard bird jig across the yard. That's 103 now on the count. Amazing really what you can find in your yard if you spend enough time there during migration. My personal highlight was a Golden-winged Warbler 3 or so years back now. I still await Mute Swan though. The only other highlight of the day was a Red-breasted Nuthatch that decided to show up right after I had missed him off of my January list and has hung around since then.
