[CT Birds] Sherwood Island Red Crossbills

Hi All,

Had a quick wander around Sherwood Island with Penny Solum today and managed to find 5 RED CROSSBILLS (3m 2f) as they came up off of the East Beach area and alighted in a tree in the parking lot behind the beach. Unfortunately they only stuck in there for about 5 minutes before heading off towards the pine stands. A cursory look over there didn't relocate them and I don't think there is a fresh cone crop to keep their interest but who knows it may be worth keeping your eyes peeled. Nothing else of note.
