[CT Birds] Eagle Festival Celebrity + GBBC lists

Hi all - 

It's 6:16 am, and I'm getting ready to go down to Essex for the CT River Eagle Festival.    I did as preliminary drive down the River from Haddam Meadows to Old Saybrook, seeing what's up.   A scattering of Bald Eagles, but no Golden Eagle (yet), lots of Eagle Food (mergansers, goldeneye, etc.), and the dark-morph Rough-legged Hawk at Great Island (seen from the Dock & Dine).    There will be spotting scopes and guides positioned at key viewing spots between Essex and the East Haddam Bridge.    See the Festival brochure for details.

I plan on keeping an Essex checklist for the GBBC, so you can help make sighting contributions, too.
