[CT Birds] Redpolls and stuff...

On a daily basis, I have at least a dozen goldies visiting Niger feeders and
lately even venturing to the front of the yard for black oil sunflower. In
fact, the males are beginning to molt into their breeding colors.

Subject: [CT Birds] Redpolls and stuff...

Well my Redpoll flock is up to 60 birds - guess most made it through the ice
storm - though my neighbor had a dead one on his deck.
Also still have 3 P Siskins. They prefer to feed away from the Redpolls, and
are super belligerent towards the later when around them. I also still see
and hear a pair in courtship - bill feeding and much song. Will keep in
touch on their actions.

But I am in question on GOLDFINCH.............
I have had daily for over 7 weeks now, Redpolls and Siskins, but have had
not ONE GOLDFINCH! So who is getting all the Goldfinch here in CT?

Are they concentrated in southern CT? Anyone getting large numbers of
Goldfinch here in CT?

Just wondering - Paul Carrier
