[CT Birds] Redpolls and stuff...

i'm getting about a dozen goldfinches a day and still haven't had a redpoll
or sisken . want to trade ? :-) rb nuthatch that came last august is
still here .

Here in Trumbull my redpoll flock is also between 50-60 individuals. The
flock has been growing slowly all winter and is currently at its high. I
have a few goldfinches, maybe 6-8, certainly less than 10. They are
concentrated on the sunflower chips, I guess because the redpolls have
monopolized the niger feeders. A big change from last winter when the
goldfinches in the Stratford/Trumbull area numbers in the hundreds and the
redpolls were absent.
