[CT Birds] goldfinches

Goldfinches have been rare at my thistle and sunflower chips  feeder all 
winter.  I used to have a flock of 6-8 on a regular basis.   Today, 2 showed up at 
the sunflower chip feeder, but they have been sporadic,  with only 1 or 2 at 
a time.
Yet this is the first winter that I have had a  Red Breasted nuthatch, and 
carolina wren everyday.  So it's a  trade-off, I guess.
