[CT Birds] Naugatuck River sitings

Today I walked the Naugatuck River and had five Black Vultures and a Cackling Goose.  Also, there were Hooded and Common Mergansers and Ring-necked Duck.  
   
  I had the pleasure of watching three Crows chase a Red-shouldered Hawk.  The hawk perched itself above the Hooded Mergansers to which the mergansers dove into the water in response.  The hawks were relentless and I didn't wait to see who would win but I suspect the crows did.
