2/17  Somers  1 Turkey Vulture
Just got back from Florida where I saw hundreds of turkey vultures (and
several black vultures together for good comparisons), so didn't register
right away as unusual to see a TV on Sunday here in CT (must have followed
me home).  But according to Jay, guess it is noteworthy as the first of the
season!

PS  Best bird of the trip was an adult Whooping Crane flyover (most likely
from the ultralight led reintroduced migratory flock) with several hundred
Sand Hill Cranes.
