[CT Birds] My first Red-wings

When i arrived home this afternoon there were 3 male Red-winged  Blackbirds 
under the feeders - the season's first for me.  The flock has  now grown to 8 
males - and 1 female.  Isn't it early to see females?  And especially - with 
the males?
