So far we still stand at 133 species reported on the Great Backyard Bird Count. Great job for breaking the old record! I think we can still increase that number if we get some reports of species that folks may have had from Friday through Monday, but haven't reported. I have taken Dave's state total list and listed the species seen so far in CT this year, but haven't been reported on the count.

If people can take a few minute to log in observations of these species it would be much appreciated, or at the very least send me an email with permission to log your sighting in for you, but this is less preferable as it will be harder for posterity to get the details on the sighting. If the species is sensitive even down to the town level, you could send me a note and I could log it in at the end of the month when it is likely to not be as sensitive. GBBC only records the town where a sighting was submitted and you can't derive the exact location.

Still some sorting out to do before the final analysis and I have removed a lot of duplicate sightings of Bald Eagles and we are double checking any reports in excess of 1 for White-crowned Sparrows. Still not sure to do with the big numbers of Purple Finches.

Greater White-fronted Goose
