Birders, I apologize, I understand that Jane Hill didn't start this

Dear birders,
The site that Jane Hill has started will benefit so many individuals! It is
a proven fact that when better access is created for individuals with
disabilities, better access is created for the entire community! Bird clubs
should have more Accessible birding trips to meet the need and include more
individuals in this pleasant and relaxing past time!

Jane Hills posted a website of accessible birding sites. I noted that only
one accessible trail is listed for all of New Hampshire. I will contact the
site and add some more in northern New Hampshire and hopefully others can
add sites that they know about. Pondicherry is not listed and we have a 1.6
mile trail and accessible viewing platform. That trail will be further
improved this summer. A second universally accessible trail is being
constructed that will be a half mile long and is being built this summer.
Lake Umbagog NWR has a nice half mile trail in Errol that includes a photo
blind at the edge of the Magalloway River. The White Mountain National
Forest has accessible trails at South Pond and Lower Falls of the Ammonoosuc
that are good birding sites. While the focus is on wheel chair accessible
use we should not forget that young families pushing a three wheeled baby
carriage on these trails would be desirable.
