Town line Rd, Burlington - 2 PINE GROSBEAKS eating with 100+ Robins. This is the farthest south I have seen them this year here in CT.
I think the food is now getting more scarce for these birds. The 2 PGs were eating in with the robins from Multaflora Rose bushes, and most Robins were eating from Sumac, both plants are close to last resort foods for at least the Robins. Hope the supply lasts past the snow we are going to get Friday.
Found a lone Saw-whet Owl in some spruce trees here in Harwinton today.
Down to 30 Common Redpolls daily at the feeders, plus 3 regular Pine Siskins.
